Wiped Out! an Album by The Neighbourhood

Wiped Out! is an alternative/Indie album with the theme being complexities of human emotion. In this specific album, the lyrics often delve into personal struggles, and the darker aspects of life which creates a exhausted mood. For this project my chosen object was an umbrella, which symbolizes protection amidst chaos. I used this item as a focal point on both sides keeping readers comfortable with similarity. The bold typography, subtle textures, and the primary color palette were strategically selected to evoke a sense of enigma and introspection. Having a lot of memories that relate with this album, I added a lot of my personality into the typography.

I was pleased with the way my album cover turned out and didn’t want to change too much. The front had a minor amount of changes to the text. The back page felt like it needed more color because text was getting lost with others. By doing so, I feel as if the typography stands out better and looks cohesive and fun.
